# getLocale Function Documentation

The `getLocale` function allows you to detect the locale from a given string, such as a URL or a path.

## Usage

```ts
import { getLocale } from "intlayer";

const locale = getLocale("/fr/about");

// Output: 'fr'
```

## Parameters
